Medicaton Management

Women Drug Treatment Women’s Wellness Center is dedicated to serving women with substance use disorders and/or substance use disorders and mental health issues (Dual Diagnosis). The mission of our medication management services is; to improve overall well-being by providing state of the art individualized approach to chemical health utilizing best practices from physical and psychological perspectives.

Women Drug Treatment’s medical department includes our Medical Director, Nurse Manager, Licensed Nurses, and Trained Medication Administrators. We have contractual relationships with our psychiatrists, nurse practitioner, and psychologists for on-site services.

The severity and complexity of multiple problematic areas the woman brings to the addiction treatment experience must be addressed in conjunction with intervention into the patterns of alcohol or drug use. These needs most often include addressing serious health problems such as cirrhosis of the liver, pancreatitis, edema, increased blood pressure and heart rate, diabetes, poor nutrition and below average weight, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS. Women Drug Treatment’s Registered Nurse Manager not only provides supervision and oversight of each woman’s physical wellbeing and medication administration regime but also ensures preventative and informative health education is given to each client.

Women Drug Treatment Women’s Wellness Center offers a wide range of therapeutic services, with an emphasis on pharmacological and “alternative healthcare” regimens, offered by the professional faculty. All medical services are provided according to an individual care plan, with the intensity and duration of involvement varying according to individual need.

Medications are dispensed judiciously after a thorough screen by our Psychiatrist and nurse practitioner and input from medical professionals and medical records when available.

Psychiatric Services

We provide consultation/evaluation and medication review services to individuals based on specific program services.

Psychological Evaluations

We provide psychological evaluations for individuals with cognitive impairment, depression, low IQ, personality disorders, and other difficult mental health issues. This service is provided based on clinic hours at program site. This service is based upon referral recommendation from psychiatric professionals.

Physical Examinations

We provide for basic physicals on individuals. If the individual has had a physical in the 30 days prior to treatment that physical may be reviewed by Meridian Behavioral Health.


We provide referrals for ongoing care with mental health professionals, physical health professionals, pharmacological therapies etc.

Mental health issues and altered or discontinued use of prescribed medications while the individual is active in her use that exacerbates functioning both cognitively and physically are addressed by our psychiatrists with treatment recommendations incorporated into the woman’s individualized treatment plan and medication management.

Women Drug Treatment Women’s Wellness Center incorporates medical and /or mental health recommendations into the continuum of care plan to assure continuity of care once the woman leaves the treatment setting.
